I believe in a new spring over the entire world
if every soldier, everywhere there is war or fighting
could plant his weapon in the dirt
and yells out to the visible
or invisible enemy;
"Dear fellow human, I love you
I shall not kill you .I shall not do you any harm!"
I believe in the miracle, if in every house,
in every street, in every city
one says to another;
"Dear fellow human. I love you!
I will take all the bitter words out of my mouth.
My heart I will fill up with tenderness
and my hands with the gift of friendship"
